Working with
awesome brands
Marketing And Communications Director
I joined March First when it was still a relatively young brewery and spent more than seven years helping grow its brands, audiences and marketing operation. At its peak, I led marketing across six locations and multiple brewery, distillery and hospitality brands while managing a creative team and a $50K–$60K annual budget.
My work touched just about every part of the business, from branding, social media and advertising to PR, websites, photography, video and large-scale events. One of my favorite projects was creating the identity behind Astra Hard Seltzer, which went on to sell roughly five million cans in its first few years.
Social Media and Marketing
I managed day-to-day social and digital content for one of Cincinnati's most recognizable retail brands, including a flagship social audience of more than 108,000 followers. I produced original photography and video every day, worked with departments throughout both stores, helped build the company's social video program and covered everything from unusual product arrivals to some of Jungle Jim's largest events.
Photographer
I was lucky to snag a job with Major League gaming in 2008 as a photographer for their live events around the world. I traveled to world class tournaments featuring games like Halo, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, Call of Duty and more. During my time with MLG my photos were published worldwide with publications like Forbes Magazine, Game Informer, Scientific American Magazine and more. I also got to work with brands like Red Bull, Astro Gaming, Activision/Blizzard Entertainment, Bungie, 343 Industries, Riot Games and Twitch TV to provide them imagery for their marketing purposes at MLG events.
Photographer
I served as a journalist and photographer for Everything Drift for 6 years traveling around the United States to cover professional to grass roots drift events. During my time with them I covered Formula Drift events, the top drift league in the world as well as feeder series like Midwest Drift Union and US Drift. During my time with Everything Drift I was also able to work with some other amazing brands in the motorsports industry such as Falken Tire, Kenda Tires, Zenna Tires and many professional drivers to provide photo and video support for their teams.
Because Motorcycle
What started as an excuse to make riding videos with friends eventually grew into a credentialed motorsports media outlet and freelance creative business. Today I photograph and film professional motorcycle racing, producing everything from still photography and short-form social content to longer race-weekend stories for racers and teams. I'm regularly credentialed for MotoAmerica events and work with multiple paying clients throughout a typical race weekend.
